We moved to the area last year and were nervous about finding the right daycare. Garderie Saint-Bruno made the transition smooth. The staff is caring, the program is rich, and Emma comes home happy every day. So grateful.
We were looking for a bilingual, well-structured environment. We found it here. The educators are warm and professional. Liam loves going to daycare and we feel confident he's in good hands.
After visiting several daycares, the choice was clear. The environment is safe, the facilities are clean, and the team communicates really well with parents. Thank you for everything!
Frequently asked questions
Answers about how the daycare operates and advance reimbursement for reduced-contribution spaces.
-
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours may vary slightly on statutory holidays; we will inform you in advance.
-
What ages do you accept?
We welcome children from 0 to 5 years (nursery, toddlers, preschool, and school readiness). Groups are formed by age and development.
-
How do I register my child?
Contact us to check availability and reduced-contribution spaces. We will send you registration forms and the list of required documents. A visit is recommended before confirming registration.
-
What is a reduced-contribution space?
A reduced-contribution space is subsidized by the Quebec government. Parents pay a fixed daily fee (reduced rate, e.g. $8.70/day depending on current scales) and the government pays the daycare the remainder to cover the actual cost of the service.
-
What is advance reimbursement (remboursement anticipé) and how does it work?
Advance reimbursement is the payment the daycare receives from the government for reduced-contribution spaces. Instead of waiting for parents to pay and then being reimbursed, the daycare receives the government share in advance. This allows offering reduced-fee spaces to families while ensuring the financial stability of the service.
-
As a parent, do I need to apply for advance reimbursement?
No. Advance reimbursement is paid directly to the daycare by the government. You, as a parent, only pay your daily contribution (reduced fee) to the daycare. Your eligibility for the reduced fee is determined according to official scales (income, etc.).
-
How does the daycare receive advance reimbursement?
The daycare is recognized as a facility offering reduced-contribution spaces. It reports attendance and contributions to the ministry (or designated body) and receives payments on the set schedule. These payments cover the difference between the actual cost of the space and what the parent pays.
-
What documents are needed for registration?
We typically require: signed registration form, proof of address, vaccination record (or exemption), child health form, and any forms required for reduced-contribution spaces (per government scales). We provide the exact list when you register.
-
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes. We provide snacks and, depending on the group and schedule, meals or lunch. Our nutrition approach focuses on healthy, varied foods. Allergies and dietary restrictions are accommodated; please inform us at registration.
-
What should my child bring each day?
Generally: change of clothes, diapers and wipes if applicable, comfort object if needed, labelled bottle or cup. A detailed list will be provided at registration. Personal items must be labelled with the child's name.
-
Do you offer part-time or full-time only?
We mainly offer full-time spaces (full day). For part-time (half days or certain days), contact us to check options and availability by age group.
-
How do I know if I'm eligible for the reduced fee?
Eligibility for the reduced fee is determined by the government based on your family situation and income. When you register, we will guide you through the steps and forms. You can also check the Ministère de la Famille or Revenu Québec website for current scales.
-
How does the waitlist work?
If no space is available for your desired date, we add you to our waitlist. We contact you as soon as a space opens, in order of registration and by age group. We recommend calling or writing to confirm your interest and update your contact details.
-
Can I visit the daycare before registering?
Yes. We encourage you to schedule a visit to meet the team, see the facilities, and ask questions. Contact us by phone or email to arrange an appointment.
